I truly believe that knowledge is power. When we understand why we feel and think the way that we do or learn how to cope effectively it often improves self-confidence and gives a personal sense of empowerment. I look at my own experiences, and that of people around me and my clients and see how some information can make a big difference. That is why I took such as strong interest in the areas of trauma, mental health and substance use counselling. These are areas that are often not well understood and even less understood together. When I share what I heave learned in my writing and know that I can help others who could use the information it feels like such a reward and that feels good.
